Joining Bridgepoint
What is Bridgepoint Insurance Agency?
An insurance marketing organization (IMO) that recruits, contracts, trains, and supports independent 1099 agents and agencies selling Medicare, final expense, life, and ACA health insurance. Agents keep 100% ownership of their book of business.
Is Bridgepoint a good IMO for new insurance agents?
Bridgepoint is built for agents early in their career: $0 to join, a free training library, and a contracting desk that submits your carrier appointments within 24 hours. You're paid street-level commission from day one and keep 100% of your book. Most carriers approve new agents within 1–3 weeks.
Is Bridgepoint a captive agency?
No. Bridgepoint agents are independent 1099 agents. You choose your carriers from 178+ options, can keep appointments you already hold, own your book from day one, and have an open release in writing if you ever leave.
How is Bridgepoint different from other IMOs and FMOs?
Four things, in writing: street-level commission on every carrier, 100% book ownership with no vesting, an open release, and $0 to join — Bridgepoint is paid by carrier overrides on top of your commission. On top of that, producing agents get their leads funded.
Where is Bridgepoint located, and how do I reach a recruiter?
Bridgepoint Insurance Agency is based at 1814 S Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45505, and contracts agents nationwide. Call (888) 576-6165, or apply online in about two minutes.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. No sign-up fees, no monthly platform fees, no mandatory lead purchases. Bridgepoint is paid through standard carrier overrides on production — on top of your commission, never out of it.
Do I need to be licensed before I apply?
You can apply either way. If you're licensed, we start contracting immediately. If not, we'll point you to your state's pre-licensing path and pick up the moment you pass.
Can agencies join, or just individual agents?
Both. Agency principals enroll with their agency details, contract directly under Bridgepoint, and get downline management tools to recruit and track their own agents.
Can I sell part-time?
Yes — same license, same street-level commissions, your hours. Phone-friendly products like final expense and term life fit evening and weekend schedules well.
Commissions & contracts
What commission level do I get?
Bridgepoint contracts every agent at street level, in writing, from day one, on every carrier. Overrides are paid by carriers on top of your rate — an upline that pays below street is skimming, and we'd encourage you to compare grids.
Who owns my book of business?
You do — 100%, from your first policy, with no vesting schedule. Your clients and renewals are yours if you stay and yours if you leave.
What is your release policy?
Open release, in writing. If Bridgepoint isn't the right home, we release your carrier contracts promptly rather than holding them hostage — we'd rather earn agents than trap them.
What are 2026 Medicare commission rates?
CMS national maximums: $694 per initial Medicare Advantage enrollment, $347/year renewals (California: $864/$432). PDP pays $114/$57. Bridgepoint agents are contracted at full FMV.
How much can I actually make?
First-year full-time independent agents commonly gross $30k–$60k, with disciplined phone-heavy agents reaching $100k+; renewals make every following year structurally better. Model your own numbers with our calculators.
Contracting & carriers
Which carriers can I contract with?
178+ carriers across Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, final expense/life, ACA, dental-vision-hearing, and ancillary lines — including Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Mutual of Omaha.
How long does contracting take?
Our desk submits within 24 hours and most clean applications approve in 1–3 weeks per carrier; just-in-time states can clear in days. We chase every appointment weekly until you're active.
Can I keep carriers I already have?
Usually yes — existing appointments can stay where they are, and we add new ones through Bridgepoint. If you want to move contracts, release rules from your current upline apply.
Do you help with multi-state licensing?
Yes. Non-resident licenses come through NIPR with no extra exams, and our contracting desk files the per-state carrier appointment paperwork as you expand.
Leads, training & support
Do you provide leads?
Yes — in-platform lead programs with transparent pricing and no purchase requirement. We also train the free channels: referrals, partnerships, and community marketing — and producers who hit their monthly target get leads funded by Bridgepoint.
What is the Bridgepoint producer reward?
Agents who hit their monthly production target get their next batch of exclusive, real-time, TCPA-compliant leads paid for by Bridgepoint. The harder you produce, the less you spend — top producers can stop paying for leads entirely.
What training is included?
A full LMS with courses on Medicare product mastery, final expense telesales, compliance and AHIP, CRM workflow, and objection handling — with lesson quizzes and final exams, free to every agent.
Do you help with AHIP?
Bridgepoint doesn't provide AHIP training — you take and pay for AHIP directly through AHIP (about $175). Once you pass, you can upload your certificate to keep it on file in your onboarding journey; carriers verify it when they appoint you.
What does onboarding look like?
Apply in two minutes, activate your account, complete a 5-step enrollment (licensing, background, carrier picks, e-sign), then training and carrier activation. Training can be finished within days; you start selling each carrier's products as its appointment is approved, typically in 1–3 weeks.
